    Hi All,
Has anyone used or bought any pipes from them? How do they compare to IMP? I am interested in a pipe on thier website and am curious. Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

I have two and they compare quite favorably to IMP's. I had them make me an oversized full bent bulldog in the style of the one in their Sherlock Holmes series and it's an excellent pipe - very light as well. And Sinan Altinok is definitely a stand-up guy to boot!

As you saw in my other thead I just recently ordered from Altonik. Good service, got the pipe In just under two weeks. The wait was half the fun?

The pipe smoked well, and actually started to carbonize quicker than any other meer I've had. I didn't notice that the drilling is a bit low in the bowl, but it still smoked well. Not the one match experience it said it would be, and that I have got out of IMP's, but it was the first bowl and I am not 100% clear from my cold. Give me a week or so of smoking it, not starting today, and we should know.

Is the bent Bulldog the one shown as Product ID: SG121 on the Altinok site? I had a Peterson Sherlock Holmes Squire Meerschaum that I'd like to replace.

I have an Altinok and it is right on par with my IMP and Servi Meers.

I have three...a great dunhill Man, a sweet Blowfish and a Freehand that I had custom made...the rough outer part of the stone replicates the plateau on a Danish freehand...really cool. All three are superb smokers.
Sinan is a treat to work with, Delivery is quick, and I still get a Christmas e-mail from him every year.

T-bear, those are loverly, like all three, each for different reasons. I'm developing a case of MAD because of you guys and your meerschaums. Even the really simple plain ones are beautiful.

It's an Ornamented Pear. IK115 is their number. It is out of their Classic Pipe section. I think I want it in the extra large size. I think I will pull the trigger on this very soon.

You'll love the pipe. Great draw - smokes wonderfully.

I've actually been emailing with him about replicating a hierloom pipe for me. I've never smoked anything he's made, but I can vouch for his customer service being excellent, and his replies are lightning fast.

Altinok site also has live chat at various times of day, answers any questions or concerns. Live chat works great. Another :th1: Got a signature billiard 117. Wanted something a little more motorcycle friendly, hasn't left smoking room yet, but is a great smoker. Have no other meer to compare it too, but thinking will do business with him again

My other Altinok is the Signature 103. Similar in shape and bend to the 117
