Mr. Askwith was kind enough to
carve me out a little Morta pipe.
    Firing it up tonight!

Watch out you don't singe any of those nose hairs, snake. ;)

Nice pipe! May she always bring you a delightful smoke.

I have felt no smoother draw than in the nosewarmer kitpipe Askwith made for me.
The marriage between morta and the green/black cumberland? is a match made in heaven. Enjoy it!

Sweet little pipe, but that's to be expected from Chris' workshop. Rumor has it that he's contemplating a blowfish in morta...that would be something!

Smoke it in good health amigo.

Thanks again, gents! Had the maiden
voyage last night on the way to work.
Loaded her up with Golden Extra. Just
a real smooth smoke. She's going to
be my commute pipe. Bigger bowl
than what I originally had expected
which means DGT on the way home!
The green cumberland was my idea,
and Chris made it look flawless!
At some point, This one will be
dedicated (like most of my others),
but in the interim, I'll try a few blends
    whilst breaking her in.

Wow, that is amazing. I was just contemplating about how I would love a little nosewarmer to contrast my absurd Churchwardens. And that is one to be envied for certain :yikes:
You better watch your back buddy :sword:
How much did that one cost you?
And can it be replicated? :w00t:

edit---and how long is it? Seems like the smoke would be hot from that distance. Is it?

    Measurements are:

    10 cm from the tips,
    41 mm chamber depth,
    17 mm chamber diam.,
    Undisclosed cost.

I can still smell the salt
    water and seaweed after
    cleaning, and it makes
    me want some nice peaty
    Islay! She has now become
    my work companion, and
I take her out at breaks and
    show everyone. Interesting
    how the Morta seems almost
as if it were plastic in texture.
    It's quite the tactile pipe.

    Really liking it. May be
a while before I get another
    Morta, but it was worth
    getting this one.

Glad to hear you like it :)

That shape is fast becoming my most popular shape, i think i must have made nearly 2 dozen of these on commission in briar and morta, some straight and some with a slight bend to the stem to make it a nosewarmer belge.

Very nice, I like a good nosewarmer. At one time I avoided them because I thought they would smoke hot, but they do not. After all, how much difference can an inch and a half or so from standard make in the temp, very little, if any.
