Being a huge (or the biggest) Bing Crosby fan, I have to admit, I have never seen this pipe before

That "signature" looks like it's just scratched in... I'm not saying that Mr. Crosby never licensed his name to that pipe, but the only "Bing Crosby" pipes I've ever seen were briars - straight with thin, elegent stems.

That is my feelings, also. PS The pipe you are referring to are called Lark style...

    Hi everyone!
Didn't Stanwell have a Bing Crosby model at some point????
    They were indeed VERY elegant!!!

I don't know whether Bing invented this pipe (or smoked it) but a search of smokingmetal yielded an entry for it, suggesting that it's at least legitimate:

One of the weirder metal pipes I've seen, to be sure.

Well, color me surprised! That's interesting... I'm kind of shocked. And while I've never seen a picture of him smoking a pipe like this (it looks like a :hp2: pipe to me - more so than a Falcon), it would be interesting if someone (without the aid of photo shop) could turn up one... He did, after all, sing a Christmas song (Little Drummer Boy) with David Bowie (who was very controversial at the time).

I know nothing about this conversation, but Savinelli rather than Stanwell is the maker who offers a "Bing's Favorite" model and they are a nice little pipe.

Yes, that's right! It was Savinelli originally.... sorry:bow:! I have even seen a Dunhill Bing Crosby, as well as a Stanwell.

Here's one of my recent ebay (again!) purchases: It's an Orlik Estate, very "Bing"-like but without the silver ferrule and measures 6.5 inches.
    A great Flake pipe!
