My Birthday is right arond the corner.
I've been smoking a pipe for about a month, so I'm still pretty fresh out of the cabbage patch.
    I current use a Peterson Standara XL307.
Since my new hobby, I have an good array of tobacco blends started.
One pipe doesn't seem to be enough.
So I ordered in a new one.
The Savinelli Miele "Honey" pipe Billard 128.
Hopefully it will work well with Flake Tobaccos as that's what I bought it for mainly.
Is this a decent pipe in general?

Nice looking pipe! And that tamper is lovely too.

Good purchase, can't go wrong with a Savinelli.

I've admired these before. I *love* that rich gold stain, and while I usually don't like off-beat stems, these look just great to me. Seems like a combination that will stand the test of time. You won't regret it I'm sure.

Hey that's a sharp looking pipe! I'm thinking myself of getting a Sav to add to my collection. Let us know how it goes!

    Thanks all the support guys.
The stem is suppose to resemble honeycomb.
This pipe supports those 6mm balsa filter inserts. How well they work who know's?
I ordered 40 filters with it as well. If I like them, I'll use them.
If not, I won't. Can't wait to see this puppy on my doorstep and try her out!

That's a great looking gift set (LOVE the matching tamper, BTW) that any good piper would appreciate for his birthday. May 23 (mine) is just around the corner, you know...

I love it !!!!!!! Really cool looking .... Looks like an MB GE pipe to me but I'm sure flakes will do fine . Thats the kind of " fancy " I like in a pipe . There's a group of guys that smoke pipes after Mass [ well , four of us ]... I'd enjoy pulling that one out .. they'd really dig it !

This must be the year to get a Savinelli for Birthdays. Like one of those zodiac signs or somethin'... The Year of the Savinelli.

    Hope you enjoy it.
    Best wishes

As an avid aficionado of Savinelli brand pipes I can therefore with a high degree of confidence assure you that if used correctly with the balsa filters according to the instructions that came with the pipe, this pipe will indeed provide you with many many years of the most pleasurable smokes. Provided you find the tobaccos that best suit your tastes.
