Dude, you are the man! I've read so many good things about this I had to grab when I was at Iwan Ries, but couldn't justify popping it with so many other things open! I love this! Thanks for being so thoughtful AND obviously researching what I have and haven't tried. I only hope I can do the same for the next person.

Oh, and you obviously did a great job rubbing it out. I had no clue.

As to my scoring, i use a 100 point scale as I do with wine. And while tried some amazing wines, few have ever exceeded 93. Best was probably 97,and that only once. I certainly don't know what a. Perfect wine is, and less so tobacco. Maybe in a few decades?

I was right to feel like I had just smoked it, I went through a bowl of LTF this morning that is very similar.:)

I just checked. Originally #3 seemed a bit suspicious too, but probably just from getting all snugly and comfy with sample 4 during shipping. Having checked it again, 3 seems rather innocent.

My grandma used to say, "If you tell lies, then your teeth will rotten out!" In your case that could be a bad thing, especially if your a clencher.:)

Just found out I'll be travelling on business on Sunday and returning either Tuesday night or Wednesday. If we have someone on deck for the next reviewer, I can have something in the mail before I leave. Now I need to make sure I finish these blends by Sunday....like I needed an excuse!

Another stellar review, Gary. Although my previous experience with OGS was less than impressive, I think my tastes might have changed enough over the years to appreciate it either now or at some future date. I've grown to love GAF, and OGS is a close cousin, though perhaps a litttle more complex in composition. If it is similar, I feel this class of Virginia flake is definitely up to the all-day job. I'm curious as to how you thought it compared to the IRC Virginia Flake you picked up recently, btw.

Scottly, another excellent offering. Good job rubbing that out, too. I didn't have a clue what it looked like in its prior condition. Looks like HOTW, only a little more mottled.

Keep up the good work, folks!

Herb, while we are waiting, I thought I would mention supposedly there is a difference between the OGS 50.g and 100.g. I cant say, I've only had from the 100. I can say I opened this tin a few years ago. I smoke it every once in a while and it has only got better with age.
