Going to be my first true high grade pipe, made by our very own Sasquatch. I hear he's some sort of sorcerer or wizard or something, and his pipes are essentially magic. So all things considered, I'm pretty stoked! Nice looking pipe, I gotta say. Decent sized chamber, just about perfect for what I was wanting, and also a bent pipe and I've been wanting a really nice bent pipe for a time now. So really, it's a win all around! Now I just gotta play the waiting game....if only I could have just dropped in on him to make the transaction and have it here in my hands tonight!

Crappy pic, the colors are really similar. I got it as an estate, Sas said someone else did the blast on it, but it's his engineering, and an awesome smoker, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine for years to come!

I bought a Grabow. Never again. If I get a good deal on a really old one, then I'd consider it. Ebay Grabows are fair game. But new....

One of the only two briar pipes I've ever bought that's seen the inside of a garbage pail.

Same here. If this pipe is as good at smokin as it is at lookin, I'm gonna have to get in touch with him about some custom work for sure. Trouble with that is all the ideas for cool pipes I got going on in my head!

What type of blend is suitably smoked in such a pipe? I'm thinking of keeping it restricted to my favorite English blends....Red Rapparee, Early Morning Pipe, And So To Bed, Margate, Durbar (when I open the tin finally)

You know, that's a mighty good blend. I might have to try a few bowls of that in this new pipe in your honor :puffy:

But even if I do, it WILL be converted into an Oriental/English pipe a good while before I eventually open that tin of Durbar...unless I somehow get my hands on the custom straight billiard of my dreams ;)

NESTA----Congrats---As I said before---YOU WILL NOT regret a Sas-BST. I simply love mine. By the way I decided after my original idea on breaking mine in to actually go with McCranies 2000 Red Ribbon for the process. Was going to go with a Boswells blend(Boswells Best) but decided against a mild aro. Went back to a Virginia blend. I got a nice coating going on, and simply cannot say enough great things about my Sas BST---You are gonna like it alot-----again congrats on that pipe------Best to yah.
