I simply do not know where to begin
with this review as I'm still in
    smoker's heaven right now!!

I may have to just abandon all
    other blenders than Orlik!!
    ...but I digress.

    Tin note: Sweet, sweet VA's!
Could have sniffed the tin for
    a good 15 minutes alone.

    3 stepped this wonderful ready
    rubbed in my Sav. 316KS.
After the charring and real light,
the room notes were of sweetness,
(like smelling coke, or root beer!),
    Cinnamon rolls, Mum's treacle,
    sweet butter cookies, and rum
cake. All the while, having some
nice VA sweetness caress my tongue.

By mid-bowl, my muscles had completely
relaxed as I settled in for some
different room notes of black pekoe
    tea, pralines, and sassafras. Simply
amazing!! I suspect there may be
some burley in this blend, but I have
no way of knowing for sure.

By the end of the bowl, I was in a
    Zen-like state of smoking bliss!
Mere description of this tobak just
cannot do it justice. This is
    insanely good (IMHO, of course)!

Gentlemen, I believe I may have
    found my Nirvana!

    Oh, sweet, sweet goodness, thy
    name is Capstan Gold!

    Hi snake,
Is the flavor real kick ass?
I read reviews and think that's sounds good but get disappointed when I try or the tase disappears mid bowl. I seem to like real strong smack you in the backside sort of stuff weather it be an arro or whatever.
    Cheers Rolf.

    Now Capstan?
    Three Nuns?

Lets see... what other can't-get tobacco are you lacking? That leaves Dunhill Light Flake, Bengal and Edgeworth Slices. Mmmmm. Capstan. Having fun?

    Tas,

If you're a real VA lover,
    then, YES! If you like
OGS, then this is a must have.

    Tas, in rereading your
    posts about lots of
    flavour, this one may
    not come through for you.

Haven't tried OGS so I guess it's another two for the list now.
I am liking Danish Toby at the moment they seem to make good stuff. But yes I'm thinking it might not do it in the way of my flavor kick.

Hi Snake, again a very nice review, it has been a few year's last time I had the gold capstan, but the navy cut flake (Blue tin) is on my rotation, I found that the blue has much more flavor and a bit more sweet and VA taste. But as I said it has been a few years so maybe I have to get me some Golden again, damn this is not good for my TAD

Thank you, sir. Now, I want to try the blue tin!
Speaking of TAD... Wonder what the difference is,
    other than what you've stated.

    Hi All

Thanks for the review. Haven't tried Capstan for more than thirty years - it's one of these old Brit tobaccos it's easier to get abroad than it is here - however I could be off to Teneriffe in January and it's readily available there. Could be tempted to give it a whirl again!

    Thanks again

I'm off to Tenerife in December Gerry. Never paid any attention to the Tobacconist's as I packed up cigarettes 3 years ago. Can you get some good cheap Toby out there?
