Has anyone else noticed that Carter Hall seems to burn faster than most other tobaccos? Or is it that I am just getting stuff that is abnormally dry?

No complaints about the taste, just seems to burn quicker.

Yep, it was a fast burning tobacco for me when I smoked it, so was Prince Albert and Cherry Blend.

Yup. It's dry stuff. It smokes about the same for me as SWRA.

The Prince seems to smoke a little slower than CH for me. Moisture being the same between the individual bags/blends at the time but it varies.

Since that is all I smoke, I have no frame of reference.

Another thing...I think the speed with which it burns has has to do with the thin ribbon cut. It doesn't take much flame to touch it off (compared to my chunkier blends) and once it's lit...it burns right through. i.e. Like kindling thrown on a roaring fire.

Fast, but so smooth and tasty. Thanks guys. I figured it was just a trait of CH, and I was correct. (Don't tell my wife, she hates it when I am right.)

If a man speaks in the woods and no woman is there to hear him....is he still wrong?

CH a fast burner??......is that new pope a catholic?, I use a bit of it - but usually mix with something else, to make it go 'further' (It's so cheap) - could not smoke on it's own - I'd need a truck load every month!:ohyh:

I like it, but it does smoke very fast for me. I've tried to adjust my pace with it in the past, but I can't seem to slow it down.

I find it burns fast as well. As to dry, my plastic tub (which must be the least ideal method of storage) still has some tobacco in it that hasn't seem to dry at all. I opened the tub over a year and a half ago. Needless to say there is a lot of humectant in CH and I don't really think it is possible to get it too dry.

The majority of OTC blends seem to burn pretty fast for me.
