I becoming very fond of these funkily shaped pipes. I like being able to plop them down wherever without having to worry about them falling over. Pipe rest? We don't need no stinkin pipe rest....

Got this bad boy on Monday. My first Radice and it's a winner. Nice DEEP chamber and the bit work is excellent....very very smooth. I like the twisted brass/copper wire that is inlaid around the rim. I think it adds some grace to this not so elegant shape.:)

Now all I need is Meerschaum Cherrywood and I'll be all set. Won't need any more pipes....:whis:

I remember Rugs saying Radice was his favorite maker. I can see why now and I won't hesitate to snag another one when a good deal comes along. I just happened to have a real nice Rinaldo that was too smooth, too straight and too pretty, so I'm working a trade with smokingpipes for it.

Loading 2 coins of Escudo in it now. Heck, this thing might hold 3 but it's getting close to bed time....

I do like the shape. I have made a couple, but not in the traditional 'cherrywood' cylindrical shape. I like the one you posted, is the beading around the rim edge briar or some form of metal?

It's copper and brass wires twisted together then filed/sanded flat. Pretty cool!

Won't need any more pipes he says.

I have a few Radices, and think they are really nice pipes. Is yours a single bore?

I was thinking the same thing... that I uttered those same words on more than one occasion... I was fooling myself each time. :D
