    Needs a a bit of fine sanding & a final polish, but works very well.
    A spare 314 Peterson stem on my play Falcon. Tooting on some Coniston Cut Plug / Hyperbole as I type.

    Most of my pipes have fairly good stems, it seems to be something that Guildhall was good at. I do have a few pipe stems that I would like to thin a bit, but I'm always worried about hitting the airway. I'm not worried about altering the pipe; but I have a hard time judging how much material I can take off without cutting through.

    I tried doing that and failed. You must be a natural with your tongue and lips.

    For all the reasons stated about mouth feel, I prefer slender fish tail saddle stems.
