I'm looking for a thick walled chunky pipe.
Something along the lines of a Custombilt.
I dont like the rustication on those though.
Any makers I should be looking out for?

Stanwell makes a few thick-walled, smooth finished pipes

If you have the means, Radice comes to mind.

Peterson's 107 pot shape is particularly hefty. GBD has some nice chunky shapes, but those will all be estates.

I also want a Polinski poker... I still don't have any poker shaped pipe and I'm really satisfied with my first Polinski - great smoker for a nice price - I guess my first poker will be a Polinski.

Luca often has some interesting chunky pipes available on NeatPipes.com. He's a fan, too.

I can second the Savinelli 320 shape suggestion. I have two and they are among my favorite pipes. Nice thick pipes, great smoking pipes. They have several other shapes which are nice and chunky as well. One I have which is pretty hefty is a 616KS an another which has a very oversized bowl and nice thick walls is in the 114EX shape (actually, any of their shapes with the KS or EX designation are larger than normal).

As for the Radice suggestion, I have one which is absolutely huge. I can't post a photo right now though since I don't have it hosted on any hosting sites (unless you can link from uploads you put on other forums).

Peterson makes several shapes that are nice and chunky. My XL15 (bent bulldog), Sherlock Holmes Deerstalker, XL315 (Calabash shape system pipe) and my Harp 107 are quite chunky . Also look at their Captain Pete series available from cupojoes.com (I think they are exclusive pipes, but they are huge).

Italian's make some very chunk pipes. There are a few Danish carvers also that make gobsters.
Amarcord is made by iL Ceppo or L Anatra.Made for ebay so importer doesn't come un-glued.
Just about every Italian carver makes very big chunky pipes.Radice's seem to be down in price and are great smokers.
    Here a GG,giant giant smoothclear new for less than 200.00.It's a tooth-yanker.
