Was in my local Pipe shop in Glasgow . Was looking at Churchwarden pipes by Savinelli . Very nice and well made with a lovely big bowl. The price was £35 , is that a good price as it seemed a lot o pipe for the money. :bing:

That would seem about the right price, I've seen a few sav churchwardens at B&Ms here in Texas and they are around $65-80usd from memory.

Not sure which one you were checking out, but Pipes and Cigars have them starting at around $60. So that would seem like a very fair price. Congrats!

A Brick and Mortor building...not an on-line shop. Although there are probably some B&M's that have extended onto on-line sales such as JR Cigars. But any local tobacco shop is refered to as a B&M.

£35 for a Savinelli CW sounds like a great price, I paid £50 for my Peterson CW.

Sounds like a great price for what should be a fine pipe. Enjoy!

I've got a Sav church which was a kind gift from a fellow-member of another pipe forum, and it smokes very well. I'm very pleased with it, and would be if I'd paid for it, as well.

Seriously, for some time after joining this and other pipe forums, I thought 'B&M' was the name of a U.S. chain of tobacconists, because the term was mainly used by American members!
