I just cleaning all my 20 stems under warm water with water sandpaper 1200, dry, and rub them between hands with hand creme. How long I must wait to polish stems with care cloth? Is 10 minutes enough to creme absorb in stems?

Be careful with the water on Vulcanite stems...too hot will turn the stems green. What do you mean by "hand creme"? Is this a pipe product?

    Glad you got them finished!!

Don't worry, t-bear, I use a little warm water for stems.... I mean by "hand creme" is ordinary Nivea creme in tiny doses. Maybe it's wrong, but, I saw a couple pipe smokers here in Croatia that use this method with hand creme, and it's really works.

...well that's rather interesting. Did you buff them by hand or machine?

Very well. Just rub stem between hand with a little pick of Nivea creme, and then polish stem with silk cloth. Results are fantastic, stems looks like a new!
