    Hello everyone,

After scrimping and saving I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a Davorin Morta pipe. It is a sandblasted Billiard and is in transit. First off let me say that Davorin is very professional, I was also very thankful for a first time discount with a pipe tamper thrown in. He also seems very patient as I fumbled with trying to use paypal. I have used paypal in the past but never without a direct link from the checkout page.
This will be the highest end pipe that I own at this time and I am psyched. I am thinking of starting it off with Escudo or FVF.

As I have no pictures yet here is the link: http://davorinmortapipes.wordpress.com/cooper-morta/b-02210/

    Cheers to all,
    Paul

    Fine looking bog oak, Paul!
I own a Morta pipe as well, yet
    from a different artisan. Enjoy
that seaweed smell for a few
    weeks. :groucho:

He seems to have a feel for how to handle the morta, at least visually. Nice looking pipe.

The chamber depth is 47 mm which comes out to about 1.85 inches and the diameter is 20 mm which is about .78 inches. To me that is pretty large. Not jumbo mind you but large.

That is one sweet little billiard. There are two carvers who seem to "get" morta...Davorin and Chris Askwith. Smoke in good health!

Hmmmm havent heard of Morta pipes yet in my lurking/posting travels. Thats one nice looking pipe, as are the rest he has for sale. I'm particularly liking the looks of this one: Sandblasted Half Egg
