I was recently gifted a rather large tin of Distinguished Gentleman by Telltime. Well, what a dummy, cuz it's delicious stuff. Aromatic for sure (chocolate cherry? Amaretto? I can't place it.) But it's not gooped on like those crazy Germans tend to - this is American old-timey all-day tobacco. Sweet with black cavendish and virginia, but full with burley and a touch of latakia.

    Very, very nice.

    Thanks TT - I like!

This one is getting added to the TAD list... I read a couple reviews, and some say that if you get some blending latakia and some perique, it turns it into a flavor bomb. Either way, I am thankful that you all corrupt me to the point that I buy tobaccos like they are groceries. 'Preciate ya'll!!

    He's a Canadian Nick...his sentence structure sucks! Fortunately, he's a pretty damned good carver....we all need a redeeming trait!:xd:

You know, a few people call me dummy...:bangin:

But that latakia is the reason I don't like it!!

But I'm glad you do and you are more than welcome! Keep making those fine pipes, and I'll be happy!!!

Sorry, I just saw "Distiguished Gentleman" next to Bannards name and thought I'd be the first to call oxymoron.

Oh, I always thought is was "Extinguished Gentleman," which, in that case, it would have made sense.

Actually, I just got a tin of this, at my local old-timey pipe shop, Kramer's Pipe & Tobacco, in (of all places), Beverly Hills, CA. About to try some now. Smells delicious!
