    I like Pease Cairo and MacB Plum Cake as morning smokes. I'm down to under a 1/4 ounce of both, and just got around to ordering some Chelsea Morning but it won't be in for about a week. Since I like both Cairo and Plum Cake, I figured I could mix them together and come up with a pleasant little blend to last me until the Chelsea Morning arrives.

    Big mistake! It created the most heinously acrid smoke that I have ever experienced! It seemed like it should have been a good smoke, but it was a horrible mistake. So, proceed with caution when combining blends because what seems like a good idea taint always so.

    I did about the same thing w/ PA Soft Vanilla and Middletons Cherry Blend . I had a little in my roll up for work and added about the same of the other thinking ... how bad could it be . It was real real bad . lol

    That's the KILLER! Often times, two outstanding leafs blended doesn't always work out to be outstanding or anything better. Only mix/blend one bowl's worth at a time when venturing out into territories unknown. You'd think that two would mingle well but I use the analogy of "two women in the same room". They may get along, but usually they don't......... my experience :D

    Had some Backwoods Flake a while back that was too much for me. Someone suggested throwing in some Perique to change the flavor. Whew! Went from unpleasant to intollerable. Had to add a bunch of burley and Virginia to make it smokable.

    The only mix I ever made that didn't suck was Villiger 1888 Mid Day, a butterscotch-smelling aromatic, and Sutliff's Sunrise Smoke, a light English. Every other attempt has resulted in the tobacco becoming mulch.
