This, and a Lark that is pretty much shot to hell, came with a pipe rack that I got off of Ebay. Took a little more than spit and polish, but have got her back to a reasonably respectable lady!

Just found this shape very interesting.
When I opened the box and saw the dark brown lump of wood that had been used and abused my heart went out to it, lol.
    Comments, suggestions, bad jokes????

Since it has an Adjustamatic system with a stinger, the stem tightened and was a bit "not straight". The alignment went just a tad too far. So for a spacer, added two pieces of scotch tape to the stummel side, trimmed the excess from around the stummel, punched a hole in it for the stinger, screwed it back together and the stem lined up! Not sure how long it'll last but scotch tape is easy to replace, lol.

The Continental shapes are really cool in my opinion. I love it.

With it being an Adjustomatic you should be able to keep on turning till it comes back around so long as it isn't stuck. If it is stuck there are ways to free it, but the Adjustomatic part means that bad boy will spin around (sometimes with some effort) till it comes back straight. If it is in fact stuck and wont turn anymore one trick that has worked in the past for me is to freeze it. Yep, throw it in the freezer without the wife knowing and the following day give it a good twist and it'll free up all the funk that's got it locked up.

Dissassembled and sanitized the stem. Then reamed out the bowl, leaving just a little cake on the sides. Used Jim Beam on a cleaner to clean the air passage and tennon hole. The rim was chipped, but not too deep, so took a radius file and slide it gently across the rim, careful to keep it flat and follow the same contour of the rim until I got past the chips. Had to actually sand the gunk off of the pipe! 400, then 600 then 1000 grit. After that, mixed some dye to match the rim with the rest of the pipe. Then I sanded the stem with the same steps in paper. Carnauba wax and buffer and done.
I tried what Shilo said, by crackie it worked! Sucker was still hard to turn, but it did turn! Gonna let it sit at room temp until tomorrow before trying it out, but I'll update then to give a review of the important part....how it smokes!
