    Got a Dr Plumb eastate pipe from eBay today. It says " Made in England " DR PLUMB " ans 225 on the side.
    Any idea of age of this lovely pipe. Got it for a song. In progress of restoring just now. :bing:

    Just at the stalk there is a " V " to , just saw that.

    Also any info on the strange looking Stinger that's in it. I was expecting a 9mm filter. :bing:

    I think DR. Plumbs are still made . I had a few over the years and I loved a spigot model I had . The ones I've had smoke fine and I think they are good factory pipes . I had them in the 1980's , so I know they were around then and probably earlier

    just noticed a wee bit more work to do. but it has turned out not too bad. £5.o1 that's what i paid for it. Would like to know her age. She has Dr Plumb and Made in London on side with the numbers 225 and at the stem a V. :bing:

    Hi,
    Nice looking pipe.
    Smoked DrPlumbs for years, always found them to be a nice smoke.
    Use a Dinky at the moment (short and fits in pocket easy)
    Can't help with age, sorry.

    Smoked it for the first time yesterday an it smoked great. Very happy chappie . :bing:

    Dr Plumb Smoking Pipes
    Brand created in 1925 in Saint-Claude (France). The Dr Plumb production was run by the Ruchon & Verguet and also Ropp factories (Saint-Claude). The brand now belongs to the English Cadogan group

    If on the pipe it says made in england then its a recent model.
