I have a surprising number of packages incoming right now. Some of have been slow, some have been quick. Today was the most exciting day where just about everything came in all at once!

My P&C IPSD order came incredibly fast, and their surprise package was quite nice! I ordered a pound of Newminster Superior Round Slices and 4 oz of G&H Sweet Maple Twist (along with some G&H Bright CR Flake, but that ended up on B/O). Their IPSD bonus pack included some pipe cleaners, matches, a 4th Gen 1957 sample and three Sutliff tins (Kentucky Planter, Bosphorus Cruise, and Charlemagne).

The stubby little lovat from Robert Leslie arrived along with an unexpected white bent Venturi pipe as an apology for delayed shipping.

I started my Return of Sherlock Holmes collection with the Hansom for a fine price on eBay and that arrived today. It needs a little love, but will be a fine pipe.

My real "crown jewel" for the day, though, is my St. Patrick's 2013 pipe that arrived from 4Noggins along with a few tobacco samples. Their picture of it was fine, but did not do this pipe justice! It is exactly what I could have hoped for. I got the B35 Antique Zulu shape. The cross grain is perfect with full birdseye up and down both sides of the bowl and nice straight grain on the top/bottom/front. If there are any fills hiding in this finish, I haven't yet found them. It's absolutely beautiful, and I'll be filling it up soon! Maybe with some of the Sweet Maple Twist...

    Nice haul, Tony.

You have me checking on the shipping status of my last order -- like I needed any encouragement. :)

Congrats. That St Patrick's Day pipe is beautiful and a neat shape. Got enough there to keep you out of trouble for a day or two at least.

Very nice score, and that's a fine Pete. Thanks for the heads up, cuz I collect Pete St. Paddy pipes. I've been waiting for the 2013's to arrive, so when I read your post I Googled on over to 4Noggins and ordered a #408 (straight Author) style 2013 St. Paddy. Looks like they're using a different stain this year - less red, and more brown... like a walnut finish. Hhhmm, time for a pipe - my 2012 St Paddy (Canadian), I believe.

Yuppers, they change the finish up yearly. And the 408 shape was "new to me" just a few months ago when I first saw it in the Christmas '12 pipe finish at the local B&M. That's definitely a great shape! I'm sure yours will treat you well when it arrives.

BTW, is that the 264 Canadian shape? I did not realize they did that in last years's lineup! I love my 264s.

Yezzir, it's a 264 Canadian. My favorite Pete shape is the XL02, and I keep waiting for that to be offered in the St. Paddy series. So far my "collection" of Pete St. Paddy's is a 2009 #999 and a 2012 #264, and then there is the 2013 #408 that is on the way. I wish I could find a 2010 and a 2011 to fill in the sequence. I've seen some older St. Paddy's on ebay, and I might look into those some time.

Y'know... I feel like I knew that, but the 264 wasn't on my radar yet... and/or the photos SP took of my 2012 just really stood out. Thankfully I love my 107, otherwise I'd have to hunt down a 264 to add to the set now! :D

I've thought about back tracking for some older St. Patrick's, but I'm trying to convince myself I should just stick with where I started my collection (that is, last year).
