    Well, sort of....

Saw this at the post office yesterday: a new book of stamps honoring the great, old time, Hollywood film directors, and first up, is John Ford, billiard in hand. Pretty cool.

You can read more about it here

The title of this thread scared me for a moment; I could forsee a bounty of taxes ahead. Thank goodness it's just a stamp.

Believe me, fella's. I had the same reaction, waiting in line at the Post Office, "Is this?...is that a pipe smoker?...on a stamp?...that the U.S. government?..." I wanted to buy all the books they had before someone in the govt. noticed that someone was smoking on there!

I'm surprised the post orifice didn't photoshop the pic before copying it for their stamps.

I'am sure this was just an oversight by the Post Master General. These will be recalled and Ron Howard will be put in Mr. Fords place.

...as opposed to the British government, which airbrushed a cigar out of a photo of Churchill in a school history textbook not long ago!
[Edit] as I now see Shadow said upthread. I really must read threads properly before posting!

    "
Do you smoke a pipe, Mr Howard?"
    "No."
"Do, do, Ron, Ron, Ron, do, do, Ron, Ron!"
