    Thanks for the link! I've never been able to believe that one as I always wondered why someone way back then would worry about hygiene for a pipe when they didn't understand about germs in the first place. :)

    I've never had a commercial quality clay pipe (though I'd love to get my hands on a few) but my homemade clay smokes very dry and cool.. And they are just about ghost proof.
