    Brothers,
The day has finally arrived! :nwor:
All of Russ Ouellette's Hearth & Home Tobacco Blends are now available at Smokingpipes! The prices (retail) are lower than the website. As you know, NYS adds a huge amount of excise / sin tax on all tobacco products (75-90%, not including the local sales tax added onto the total purchase), now you don't have to have a friend buy for you. I am giddy knowing I can get my H&H w/o having to beg, borrow, and steal to get it! :D

Sort of makes you wonder if the price differences are "introductory" or if that's just the differences between P&C's vs. SP's profit margins. Who "tins" H&H, McCL? C&D? Anybody know?

Ed, the difference for us New Yorkers is the 70% in state tobacco tax that we don't have to pay if we are buying the product from another state. We can't afford to buy tobacco in our home state.

Edited to add, ever since they put the H&H stuff in tins I've been expecting this. They've basically just opened up the New York market to themselves.

"That's" thinking outside of the box! I'd completely forgot about the tax differences the vendors have to pay just to bring it into the store for sale........ and then the additional you as the customer pay over and above the toby sale.

Very smart thinking on Russ' part. What a "MEGA" online store "Pipes n' Cigars/SmokingPipes.com"...........that'd be where I can be found (when I move outta the "Prohibition State" MD).

If I remember correctly, Russ mentioned C&D when Rugs & I were there.
