    In my experience, any of the round tins once opened will keep the tobacco reasonably moist for many months when cranked down nice and tight. Not so the square tins, but for short term storage, I use a bail top jar, which works really well...

    I put square tins, pull top tins and bulks in jars when I get them. Round screw tops I leave in the tins until opened.
