I was at my local B&M when I came across this:
Bombay Court, aged for 7 years. It's an amazing smoke!

I think there was an 09 as well. I was looking for Blackwoods Flake but they were out. Me and my fellow pipe smoking friend (on the forums here as "mlyvers") found this gem right in front of the case. I'm going to have to head back there this Saturday and rummage around for some more "ancient" treasures.

    nice find--sometimes fortune smiles

a couple months ago i was browsing thru my local (not noted for great selection) and found
Blackney's Best- Bayou Slicedated 2006 -- i picked it up and am keeping it -- maybe it's old enough now to be at peak???--any suggestions??

I bought out my B&m supply of Bayou SLice that was all dated 2006 as well. I have one left and the others were INCREDIBLE. I'd say its good to go. Great blend and with the virginias nice and aged, its a killer vaper.

Recently picked up a 1999 McClelland #22, a 2003 Orientals #6, Bombay Court and Bombay Extra from 2005 and #27 from 2006. It pays to look through the shelves carefully.

For the extra age, it may well be (almost) worth paying our painfully high B&M tin prices.

When Knoxville Cigar Company went out of business a local cigar shop, Silo Cigars, bought their old inventory. They don't normally handle much in the way of pipes, so I was anxious to see what they had and the prices. I walked out with $300 worth of well-aged tobacco. Took two bags to hold all the tins.

I visited a new-to-me B&M today and saw a shelf full of McC Christmas Cheer. When I asked how much it was the clerk said "Well, that depends..." they had most years covered '05-present (excepting '06). '09 looked to be the best rated in that range so I snagged it, but I may have to get that '05 later if it's still there.

I was digging through the some of the shelves at my local shop again and lo and behold I found another!
[IMG] I searched thoroughly this time. Sadly it was the last one. It came home with me along with a tin of Blackwoods flake, more Erinmore, and one of those MacBaren Cubes.
