Has anyone tried all four of the blends in this series? I have tried the original and I'm assuming that Frog Morton on the Bayou has Perique, but I was wondering how the other two differ and if they are as good as the original. Just curious.

I have and like FM the best, then FMOTT.
After that the other 2; ATP and OTB were OK, but not as good as the above 2. (IMHO)

I haven't tried any of the FM blends yet, but would like to give them a try.

Frog Morton is one of my all-time favorites, FMOTT is...well, I guess "inoffensive" is the proper adjective for it. I didn't like FMOTB at all, and FMAP would be on my list but I've decided that they just can't do any better than the original. That's my opinion, for what it's worth.

I'm working through some standard frog and FMOTT. The original is definitely my favorite of the two. OTT it a much more throttled down blend.

    Same.

You should try them all and let us know what you think Jayson.

I have a tin of FMOTT on the way...I'm interested in learning more about these amphibious blends. ;)

FMOTT is the only one I smoke with any regularity. It has the addition of oriental leaf and less latakia. Some confuse this oriental sweetness for a heavy casing, although it does have some casing, as do most blends. The others I found bordered somewhere between ordinary and offensive. I like the idea but thought they failed on execution. McClellands is not, IMHO, the go-to blender for latakia leaf. Others do it better, IMHO.

I might do it. I am leery of Frog Morton on the Bayou because from what I can tell it's just the English blend Frog Morton with perique added which doesn't sound good at all to me.

I have tried FMOTB and ATP. I need to try the Original. I actually preferred ATP. Beale.

I've tried the original, OTT, and OTB, and like them all. They are a little on the mild side in terms of flavor IMHO, but I plan on buying them again. I'd say the original and OTB are my favs among the three that I've tried.

The mere fact that I don't know how to delete a post should give you a good indication of my prowess as a moderator. :laff:

Not sure you CAN delete a post...haven't found the trick yet, anyhow.

Back OT...I've smoked them all at one time or another. They are all decent but mild offerings within their genre. Great for someone looking for an introduction to Va-Pers, English or Orientals. Of the bunch, I find myself reaching most often for FMOTB.

I've had the original and Across the Pond.

I still prefer the original. Something about that creamy, buttery blend.
