I have been waiting patiently for my Wiley Galleon #33 to arrive via Canada Post for exactly 21 days. I have tracked it daily cursing it's last known location (LA, California) and blaming everyone for it's disappearance. Someone in the City of Angels was surely to blame for this horrible tragedy.

The Seller: Secondhandsmokes communicated with me on several occasions, professionally and respectfully each and every time. He informed me, if I understand correctly, that he had bought and sold pipes many times to my little town, and my pipe was one in a collection that belonged to a collector right here in Town (ok, it does sound a liitle far-fetched).

His Widow had commissioned him to sell off the collection, mine being among that number. I received the pipe today. What a beautiful pipe it is. If the story is true, it has come full circle back to it's origin; so to speak.

Either way...I'm happy and feel it was worth every cent. :puffy:

Great that you finally received your pipe and are happy with it. Post from the U.S seems to have slowed a bit lately, in both directions in fact. For a minute there with the talk of your little town I thought you were going to say you've actually been caught up in some kind of Star Trek time warp thing and bought your own pipe back after you passed on some time in the future, now THAT would seem a little far fetched. .............I dunno though :chug:

I have an RW Galleon (55) that I love. It's one of my dedicated VaPer pipes, and can take the heat! Glad you finally got it!

Hehe. Well, the Seller does business here quite a bit according to him. He even gave me the Collectors name. This is a small town. He knows that too. Stranger things have happened I guess. Like I told him, good thing he found that Widow before I did. :ngty:

Hey that's a beaut! Cool that you got one without a fabricated ("impregnated wood") ferrule. Very very nice stem. Looks like a smoker!

Thanks, Spillproof! Yeah, I' really pleased. I can't determine what I will break it in with. I'd like it to be Stonehaven; but GH BB#2 may be the one.

Stonehaven might be a good choice to "jump start" the break-in process, very nice pipe !

That, Sir is a pipe worth waiting for! And now it has a story all it's own. May your pack be true, your lite be worthy and your smoke be smooth!
