I've been curious about plug tobaccos. I find them fascinating for some reason and I would like to try one. I've heard 3P's is a good one, but really high in nicotine. This kind of scares me a bit. What are some other really good plug tobaccos?

I haven't tried many. I've had Grousemoor Plug, Kendal Plug, Revor Plug, and Peterson's Perfect Plug. Oh, and Jackknife Plug. I like all of them, but I'd have to say Grousemoor and Revor are my favorites, then Jacknife and 3P. Kendal Plug is good, but not my favorite.

Ive only had 3P, and I too was worried about the nic hit. I found it to be no worse than anything else. Granger, on the other hand...I had to give my pouch away...

If you like the dark tobaccos, GH Dark Plug is a tasty one.

Grousemoor, Revor, Mick McQuaid, and Murray's Warrior are goodies, too.

Dark Plug is quite possibly my favorite tobacco.

I had some 3P but don't like it. It had a weird taste.

Those are the only two plugs I have had.

So what's the best place to buy these plugs? I'm having problems finding them online except for 3Ps

3P and the Pease blends are probably a good place to start. They're easy to get a hold of and excellent quality smokes. I wouldn't say the 3P, or either of the Pease plugs for that matter, are particularly strong smokes - medium to strong with a satisfying dose of VitN, IMO.

Good luck and be sure to let us know how you get on with the plug presentation. Some guys find it a hassle but personally I think the ritual of preparation adds to my enjoyment of the smoke. :puffy:

Favorites for me are 3P's, Revor and Wessex Gold Brick
3P's usually available anytime, anywhere, the Gold brick is kinda spotty on availability but not impossible and the Revor you gots to get it from the UK.

Plus, you turned into a pirate.

Back on track, Tony Malerich sent me some 3P when I started out on here, and I liked it alot. I forgot all about it when I made my first big order, unfortunately.

The best plug tobacco ever conceived is Samuel Gawith Cannon Plug. You can take that to the bank. And then to your tobacconist.

I consider Night Train a plug, even though someone will throw a book at me and tell me it's a crumble cake. It's darn tasty and easy to smoke, too.
