I'm looking for a great vanilla flavored smoke. Something great but not too pricey. I heard good things about peter stokkbyes sweet vanilla and am wondering what some of you have to say.

Also open for a good cherry. Right now I'm enjoying prince albert cherry vanilla. Didn't like captain black, the cherry tasted too synthetic like cheap candy to me.

So that'sit guys, what's the best vanilla you have had? Also the best cherry you've tried? :)

As for cherry, I think it is hard to beat McClelland's Three Cherry in bulk. It tastes exactly like a maraschino cherry. Top Cherry is good too but it tastes like rope vine licorice and is a tin so more expensive.

4noggins Otter Creek for vanilla. Bulk, modestly priced, great flavor and room note. Morning favorite w/ coffee.

Agree on McClelland's Three Cherry which can also be purchased in bulk from 4noggins. Just had a bowl at work after lunch yesterday.

    Enjoy

I haven't found a cherry I like but if ArmedOctopus says McClelland Three Cherry then it's good. For vanilla I would say McBarren Vanilla Cream. But if you smoke this stuff too fast it'll cause pipe bite. Nice and slow to medium pace with this stuff.

MacBarens Vanilla Cream is my favorite vanilla - the flake is excellent also, albeit with a bit more time required for prep etc.

If you like the Prince Albert cherry vanilla you ought to try Prince Albert's Soft Vanilla.

I concur with Jussto and Morse on that Mac B Vanilla Flake. I can send you samples of Vanilla Flake or the ready rubbed Vanilla Cream if you wish.

Hmm, it is not vanilla or cherry but, if you loke those flavors you might like Peter Stokebye Blackberry Brandy. It is VERY good and has excellent blackberry flavor.
    Just a thought.

Rattray's high society is my fav vanilla blend, I'd highly recommend this :) as for cherry, can't go wrong with Gawaith and Hoggarth black cherry. That's been my dads go to smoke since I was a wee one!

How kind of you to offer, I might just take you up on that.

To answer some other replies I guess I should have mentioned what I have/tried:

    Prince Albert Cherry Vanilla- Like
    Prince Albert Soft Vanilla- Decent
Blenders Gold Rick Vanilla- Like but wet
Smokers Pride Vanilla cavendish- Didn't like fresh, decent now it's aged
Capatin black black cherry- didn't like

    This ^^^^^^^^^^^^

The Best Cherry blend is IRC Cherry Cordial .. bar none . It's because it tastes like a natural ripe cherry ... it's like smoking a cherry you picked from the tree ... it's insane

For the PA stuff , I get it here : It comes in a pouch or a big bag ! Very reasonable and damn good quality

    Oops , also..

Morse turned me on to MB 7 Seas Red which was done properly and not saturated in cherry
    http://www.smokingpipes.com/tobacco/by-maker/mac-baren/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=90238 .. tin
http://www.smokingpipes.com/tobacco/by-maker/mac-baren/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=90236 .... 23 bucks a pound is cheaper than oTC

He also turned me onto Tobacco Galleria Wild Cherry [ altadis ] it was very nice and well done .
    http://www.smokingpipes.com/tobacco/by-maker/altadis/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=54653 .. in bulk

How is MCb Vanilla Creme on the bite, because I've been getting a little tongue burn on the PA Cherry Vannila but it is good!

I don't think it's bad at all, however it is a blend to be respected. There is real flake tobacco there, and like some macB it can get a little bitey if it's not taken slowly. It's totally worth it IMHO, and you'll quickly learn how hard you can puff without getting the heat.
