Welcome, I'Smoke. You have an unusual situation.

Most introductions are in the "New Member Welcome and Introduction" thread but most introductions are not organized by pipe (Pete), nearest city (Dublin) and nearest factory (Petereson).

Nice of you to join us.

    Welcome, Irish Smoke!

Ireland, so much history, so much tradition. Was wondering about availability of popular brands/blends. Can you get just about anything you want?

My first pipe is a Peterson B-5 Aran. After some good smokes with it I decided to get more involved, and of course I still like smoking it!

In fact, good idea! Lets see how we do with some Squadron Leader.

    Cheers, Len S

    Hi All and Welcome Smoke!

Basis of a good rotation there - late in the game I'm really discovering the joys of Peterson Pipes too.

Hope you enjoy your time here,

    Welcome again

Welcome to PSF, Irish Smoke! I like Petes. I've got a Kapet and a Spigot with an Army mount and both are great smokers.

Welcome Irish Smoke! Nice set of Petes. I have a few...B10, 312, 69 Kapmeer (marked "Great Britain") and a pre-rep "K" Briar that's beat, battered, bitten through, and the best of the lot.

Looking forward to talking with someone from the "old Sod"....

availability in ireland can be a bit patchy- peterson pipes/tobacco are easy to get. other manufacturers are a little harder.

thankfully the peterson shop also stocks samuel gawith, so i have two quality brands to keep me smoking.

the internet takes care of the rest. in fact, i ususally buy baccy on the net because its literally half the price to get it shipped from the uk. tobacco is hellishly expensive in ireland, with a 50g tins usually around the 20 euro mark (about 25 USD).
