My pipe baccy cellar is now completed. Along with my RYO smokes cellar. Life is good. It took 15 years and the Interwebs. Only Strang is left as a collectors item.

I gots to try the Larsen line of tobacco. I've tried the others, but found the Peterson Gold Blend just a bit too sweet.

Nice score. The Golden Blend is on my soon to be fulfilled TAD list.

Just had the Larsen 1864. Forewarning, very sweet. Described in two words: sweet and chocolate.I personally enjoyed it though.

Those of you wine drinkers out there, first thing that came to mind was pairing it with a cabernet sauvignon (my favorite variety of grape). Or, if you're a beer drinker, a chocolate stout that more of the sweet malt than the "burned" malt that some of them have.

In general , I find northern European Aromatics to be flavored very well but quite warm compared to American Style Aromatics , However .. the W.O. Larsen Perfect and Signature are world class and smoke , taste and smell fantastic !! The WO Larsen Old Fashioned smoked a little to warm for me but it was close . The Peterson Aromatics are flavored well but smoke on the warm side for an Aromatic . I'm spoiled with the American Style Aros with a good amount of black Cavendish that smokes like ice . The European stuff has more nicotine , which is a plus .

Those are all damn good blends you scored .... though I haven't tried the Petersons Gold . The Roomnote of the Larsen Perfect is outstanding .. I love that blend

This is probably more than I'm going to smoke in the next 6 months. Next time. :th1:

Edit: Had a bowl of the Peterson Gold yesterday and today. I enjoy it. Lighter sweetness than the Larsen. A good after lunch or midafternoon to fix the sweet tooth. The Larsen is much more of a heavy, 8-9pm smoke to savor with a drink. (I tend to think of foods, drink, and now pipe smoking in terms of time of day/situation).
