I am a proud and unapologetic aromatic tobacco smoker (Essence of Vermont and Three Blind Moose being my favorites). However, I have been sneaking in a few English Blends here and there.

I am interested in finding a few good latakia filled, peppery/spicy, need to eat a full meal, knock you on your butt English blends. Anyone have any suggestions?

Most english blends are not going to knock you on your butt. Not like 5 brothers, brown twist, Irish flake, etc.

    Good ones to look into-
GL Pease Westminster, Odyssey, Quiet Nights
Esoterica Penzance (when it comes available), Margate
    McClelland British Woods
    Boswell's Northwoods
    Stokkebye Proper English, Balkan Supreme

May want to look at the last 2t2m for RRR. I am still not sure If I like it. Northwood is good.

If your looking for a good in-between have you thought about sillman's Black?

Pease's Odyssey or Abingdon might do you.

GL Pease Key Largo and C&D Havana Daydream are great.

Sweet for the recommendations! Keep 'em coming. I used to smoke cigars and I loved the heavy hitting full flavor cigars.

Any good online suppliers where I can get some of these?

What you seek is called Mississippi Mud by C&D - you won't need anything else.

You want vitamin N, go Irish Flake (which isn't really an English, but it is certainly a non-aromatic), otherwise you will have to settle for a full flavoured English like GLP's Odyssey.

Lots of great blends mentioned so far... you can get many of these from http://www.cornellan...g_and_ship.html... they can ship you five one-ounce samples for $31 or eight one-ounce samples for $40, so that way you can try them out before deciding which to add to your cellar. I got my sample pack from them and have been very satisfied.

Just looking at what's already been listed by other forum members, you could get the following samples:
    - Mississippi Mud
    - Ten Russians
    - GLP Quiet Nights
    - GLP Key Largo
    - GLP Odyssey.
    They're all available from C&D.

If you like strong cigars, you should definitely try either GLP Robusto or GLP Key Largo. I could smoke that beside someone puffing away on a Cohiba, and wouldn't envy him a bit!
