I ordered 8 oz of First Pipe and a few 1 oz samplers. Really looking forward to trying them out. Received my order in 2 days!!! Now THAT is service! Kudos to Steven Books for a fantastic product and excellent service! :appl:

Wow! I can only dream of shipping that fast. Seems like it takes at least 2 weeks from anywhere to my neck of the woods. :D

If you included any Ancient Imperial I would love a review.

I have ordered 4 or 5 times from him and every time the order came in 2 days.
I hope you included a sample of Irishman's 5 O' Clock. I am in love with that blend. It has gone up to near the top of my Balkan/English list.

Actually, I thought about it. The main reason I didn't order any is because I thought I might like it so much that I'd want to smoke a ton of it. At $65 an oz, I'm gonna pass on that possibility.

:xd: I've thought that about the blends for $14.25 for two ounces!

I did. You would expect nothing less of me, I hope! :D

I'm smoking Grandfathers Own right now. So far, it may be the finest aromatic I've ever smoked. It should be noted, however, that I prefer aromatics that are high on tobacco flavor, low(er) on casing flavor, and dry smoking. This blend smells in the room like a full-boar aro but tastes more like a lightly sweetened burley/va blend... soft but tobacco-y. Nice!

    Hey, me too, brother!

I've dropped huge coin on out of production blends without batting an eye, but if they were still being produced and still cost that much, I'd figure out a way to live without 'em! Or at least, smoke them only on special occasions.

I have toyed with the idea of trying Grandfather's Own, I will definetly try it now. I needed some prodding to move on it and you just gave it to me.

I wanted to try it too, because it sounds like the kind of aromatic I like (a not-too-aromatic one, haha), but when I placed my last order he was out of it at the time, I believe. I need to throw some of that in with my next HoC order.

Glad you ordered some of his stuff, Dan. What do you think about First Pipe? I love that stuff!

Thanks for this thread. I never heard of House of calabash by now, just checking their website...sounds very tasty. Grandfathers' Own sounds like something I might really like.
