    Hi everyone,

Ive been looking at blowfish and apple types today. I just discovered the blowfish bowl today.
Ive seen that Nording has a few very nice ones.
Has anyone here tried these 2 pipes

Those look awesome! I can't comment on the higher priced Nording pipes but I have a cheaper ($50) straight billiard and it's not that great. It's way too heavy and it gurgles. Next time I buy a Nording I'll go for a higher priced one.

There are some great Nording pipes, and some not-so-great. Mechanically they are rumored to be "consistent." Aesthetically, not so much (imho). Neerup pipes run in about the same price range as the one's you posted above; I would rec Neerup over Nording, particularly for the shapes you are considering. This is only my opinion.

I had a Neerup blowfish; I traded it off some time ago and wish I hadn't.

Smoked perfectly; I traded it to a B&M owner, he admired the pipe and has done me many solids. Seemed the least I could do; it wasn't ;-)

Peder Jeppeson (Neerup) worked with Nording for a period.

Another vote for Neerup here. I have one and smoke it all the time. It is beautifully made, drilled perfectly, great grain with a nice contrast stain. It was also the first nice pipe (like nicer than a basket briar) that I ever bought. I think Neerup is fantastic, and Peder Jeppesen is a nice guy to boot.

I just posted basically the same exact post recently, y nadie me pelo!!! No one responded, really. I had asked about the "Royal Flush" series, I guess no one has one. So I would go with Neerup!
I have one and they are spot on.
    Maybe try Vauen also.

I don't have any experience with the specific pipes you mention, but I do own a Nørding bent egg that smokes very well. His pipes draw a love or hate response from me to be honest. Most don't match my tastes (aesthetically), but I would buy another if the right one came along. I hope that helps...

I asked Peder this once at a show; the guy has the gall to believe that quality pipes should be affordable.

You can find these for good deals on places like smokingpipes.com, they occasionally come up on Monday's and Thursdays in the Danish Estate pipes. Keep your eyes peeled!

Neerup is on my wish list (hinting to Miss Daisy for BZD present). I have two Nording freehand (one is a signature) that smoke wonderfully. I have had both for years and do not remember the price range, but they are not high end Nordings. Of the pipe shapes you are interested in, the picture of the Neerup in this thread is an awesome looking pipe.
