My gf says that my tobacco smells like vanilla and I was wondering how could check the smell of my own tobacco that im smoking. I heard that it actually smells lil different to what I taste. Is there way to check the room note of my own smoke?

Sure. Smoke the blend in an enclosed space(an indoor room). When finished, walk out for a few minutes, and return. Take a whiff.

I invite my neighbor over for a smoke, turn him on to a bowl of whatever piques my curiosity, and let him smoke it. Only after I've smelled it will I pack a bowl for myself.

Smelling the burning bowl give a pretty good measure of the room note, be careful not to immolate your nose hairs though.

The wife asks me "Like that, do ya?"

If this question is posed, then I know she doesn't like the room note. (She smokes cigarettes, so I take anything she has to say about room note with a grain of salt).

Just be careful about flatulence or having a wet dog laying nearby. Both will not only alter the room note considerably, you may be deceived into thinking you just smoked some Borkum Riff.

I like this idea - easier than leaving the room for a few minutes.
