I kind of like it and am considering pulling the trigger.
Do these Bulldogs have a good reputation? What would be the pros and cons of this pipe?
    Thanks.

I've had my eye on one myself for when I have some more money. The only negative I've heard is that sometimes the finish will bubble or discolor, but if you contact Peterson they'll fix it up for you. At least that's what I've heard.

Unless you have a racing green MGTD, I'd stick to more traditional finishes. It's not easy being green.

I've been wondering about one myself for the longest time.. seems there is always some other pipe i want more when the time comes. Heard something about the green color fading a bit over time so the pipe would turn into some kinda brownish green mutatnt, but dont remember the source on that ;)

Here's the thread about the above-mentioned fading and bubbling. In this case it was the green Christmas pipe that had the problems. Trippwire mentions in his post on the second page that there were some problems in the finish that were rectified by Peterson.

Bottom line is that if any finish get too hot, it will blister. But if it does so, a good retailer or manufacturer will stand behind their product. I say get the pipe. It's pretty.

I love the green petersons, but seen too many things about the finish coming off. they may not be very expensive to some people, but I still think if I pay a 140 dollars for a green pipe it should stay green.

I agree. Thanks for the heads up people. I'm moving on to something else. Not worth taking a chance.
