As a newbie, my collection is slowly growing.

I only have 7 now, but have Frog Morton on the Town on order and coming in the next day or so for #8 and then probably will be ordering #9 next week which will be Squadron Leader.

Here is what I have in order of purchase:
    1. Peterson's De Luxe Mixture
    2. Peterson's University Flake
    3. Ashton's Smooth Sailing
    4. Sam Gawith Full Virginia Flake
    5. Cornell & Diehl's Opening Night
    6. McClleland's Red Cake 5100
    7. Erinmore Flake.

How am I doing so far? ;)

Sounds like your doing well. You have a few that are on my two order list, one I have but haven't smoked yet and University Flake which is one of my favs.

I am impressed that you have so many flakes. I didn't find flake Toby until a few months ago. Sense then many of my usual tobaccos have been sitting on the shelf. I have well over 20 different blends, a few I have yet to open as previously mentioned. Only reason I haven't opened is because I do not want to invest in any more mason jars.

Almost an after thought here, but why not order more than one tobacco at a time. You save on shipping that way which leaves more money for toby.

I think I'm up around 30 at the moment. you should of had a selection for 100 plus, I think you will be surprised at some of the responses.

All my thirty are open too. I like to try something then see something else and it just keeps going.

Mington, you're doing well, but haven't got an English Blend in there, have you?

Presbyterian Mixture, British Woods, Legends, Wilderness, Maltese Falcon.... get after 'em man!

I've got too many...primarily VA and English. My ADD mixed up with TAD means I'm a diverse hoarder...one of this, two of that...I think the most of any 'baccy I have is Carter Hall...I compulsively buy it whenever I see it. Now I'm wishing UK OTC's were available here so I could compulsively buy them. Vicious, vicious circle.

Welcome to our sick little club!

Well, counting the four (yikes!) tins I ordered today, I'll have seven by Thursday.

    Local B&M "Statesman" blend
    Davidoff Danish Mixture
    Savinelli Cavendish

    ..and on the way..

    Orlik Golden Sliced
    Rattray Red Rapparee
    Balkan Sasieni
    Escudo Navy Deluxe

Now I need more pipes.

That's a very good wide-band cross-section of the pipe tobacco world, Kreinhard. You'll have a few eye-openers there.

    Sas,
I have Frog Morton on the Town ordered and coming at any moment. Isnt that English?
Also, my next purchase planned is Squadron Leader. Isn't that English too?
I will have to try one of the ones you suggested too after Squadron Leader
I definitely want to try English!
    Thanks.

Squadron Leader would be an Oriental blend. Best smoked in a pipe without a latakia ghost so you can taste the orientals.

Aside from English blends, try and get some Balkans (blends that contain latakia, orientals and perique). If you're adventurous, you could also try some blends that contain cigar leaf.

I would really have to dig to find out exactly how many, but I have six humidors and they're all full. My "humidors" are all large cookie jars with a little humidifier thingie in the top, and each one holds between 6 and 8 tins, depending on size. Plus one has all 2-Oz. bulks in it, and another has all OTC pouches in it. 35? 40? At least a dozen good ones.

I only have about fifteen. Part of that fifteen includes about a pound of Carter Hall. And I'm still considered bereft when examined alongside many of the other members.

Counting the Newbie Sampler I got in the FNG/FOG trade a while back, I've got over 30 different tobaccos. There's eight that I smoke on a regular basis:

    PA

    OGS

    Spilman Mixture

    Presbyterian

    5100 Red Cake

    St Bruno

    Navy Cavendish

    Autumn Evening

    Santee

There's a few more tins I've yet to crack until I finish up some of the ones I've already got open.

I don't keep good track, probably between 30 and 40. I'd be surprised if I've smoked 12 different tobaccos in the last year.

Do you guys actually like all the tobaccos you have cellared? I just flat out don't like that many.

I have 18 blends that I have less than 4 oz. of. I am "sampling" to them to see if I like them or not. There always seems to be another temptation to try.
Then there are the other 12 blends that I've already decided that I like. I keep more than a pound of each of them handy in case of future "delivery" problems.
