...Ive been watching this ebay auction for a week. 2 mins left...went to bid...ebay informs me there has been an error...so I didnt get to bid, and the auction closed, with no bids...I almost threw my computer through the wall...

It was a pretty gnarly looking bulldog, but I was hoping to get it a) to restore, my first attempt at such, and b) because a bulldog has been my dream pipe for a while now...

    I am pissed...

Rule #1. Easy come, easy go.
Think of how silly you'd feel if you had thrown your computer.:)

I guess I just got my hopes up. I was planning on this purchase to be the diamond in the basement full of wet carpet. My hot water heater went on saturday, and the whole basement flooded. Ive been tearing up carpet the last three days, and was hoping this pipe would make it a bit more tolerable...I have the worst luck in the summertime...

I get freebies sometimes for doing resto's. I'll keep you in mind.

I bet something similar will pop up sooner or later... patience is the key! Keep searching, the diamond in the rough is out there waiting to be had! Whatever comes along next will probably be even better.

Contact the seller and say you'll take it. I bet you he sells it to you, ebay or not. He screws you over and you're out, what, $6-7?

I did, he said he was going to relist it. He also said that there was another seller who tried to bid one one of his items, and got an error...he wouldnt sell it to me outright though.

You might not get off that cheap but you'll have ample opportunity to pick up a needy bulldog for less than $20. I got a nice Savinelli Oscar for that and I'm enjoying it right now. Enjoy your first project.

That sucks! Only thing worse than getting sniped by another bidder is getting sniped by ebay itself.

The guy reposted it, and I am watching the auction...I also found a few other Bulldogs that are well within my price range, and am watching them too...I would love to get my hands on a Dr. Grabow Bulldog...seeing as I am a bit of a fan of the Dr...
