Bought this pitiful little thing off the Bay with another complete pipe for 5.00. Had to drill out what was left of the stem/stinger. I'm about halfway done with it. The shank had a small crack beginning after the drill out so I banded it. The band is tight and I've put several bowls through it. Yep, it smokes very good. The wood has better grain than showed up on the pic. I did find one fill I haven't sanded out yet. It's in the pic. Wanted a poker type pipe so I bought it for a project. As a working man I like the copper band. Who needs sterling or (choke) gold? Excuse the nasty dirty hands, I had been working on coal boilers. [IMG][IMG]

Copper and I unfortunately do not agree, but I love the look of the band there. I hope it treats you well :)

I like it. Looks like it could use a good polishing, but I like the shape.

Me, I like it. Copper can be cleaned if you desire, or let it tarnish too. But the pipe looks great. Smoke it in good health.

It is actually copper pipe I cut and filed bevels on the edges. Like I said, I'm just beginning on the pipe. It's my beater pipe. I have always liked copper too. Gotta order some wax and finish fitting the stem. It's just something to piddle with.

Beautiful... I like it a lot, both the shape, carving and the copper band.
I'd love to have a flat bottomed pipe just like that one day...estate, of course.

Keep up the great work, there Tsalagi :)

Got some carnauba wax flakes in mail today and melted it into a blob. Wow. This is the first time I have used carnauba wax. I used my dremel with buffing wheel. I think the pics speak for themselves.[IMG][IMG]

It smokes wet. I need to read up on airflow and how big the draw hole should be cuz this one is very tight. I'll keep piddling with it. It can only improve.
