    Wow, well done.

Hopefully by year's end my cellar will be near the level of that shipment you're about to receive. Tobacco will never be cheaper than it is currently, is my favorite justification for buying more and "needing" more perpetually.

    Hi All,

The advice on cellaring is spot on - just think what pipe tobacco cost 10 years ago! I wish I'd started it earlier too - but I'm working industriously at it to make up for lost time now!

    Enjoy what you've got coming!

    Best to all,,

    Gerry

Yep that's my motto......cellar like no tomorrow. As of december 31 I had a tin count total of 583 tins. At the end of 2011 I plan on that number being double. I've been cellaring for around 5 years and ramped up my efforts in the last year or so.

As far as food and lifes other inconveniences, that's already taken care of.

I'm 61. Can anyone tell me how long I'm going to live, so I know how much to cellar?

To be safe..........cellar like you plan to live long and prosper from your "Wide and Deep" toby stash! You do plan on hangin' around a while don'tchya? :)

J'm 54 and have close to 200 lbs. Smoke. About 0.50 - 0.75 lb/month. So if I kept with the same rate of toby-burnin' and don't buy anymore AND smoke all I have now.......I'll have enough to last me for another 30+ yrs. I can honestly say that I'm no longer feeling fearful of what the gov't does to me re: taxing/limiting my hobby. Yes, I'll still be exploring new blends and stocking up on what I like.......tastes do and will change as time goes by.

That is impressive! And it gives me something to shoot for, but I've got a long way to go. I just purchased my first few mason jars this weekend as the shoe-box just isn't cutting it anymore.

Not that my wife gives me too much grief about this passion, but if she ever does I wonder if the old "but look at what atwagement bought" would work...

By the way, I have some year old Maltese Falcon that that shoe-box. It was good on day one and is very good now.

Keep it up and thanks for the renewed motivation.

Looking at 200 lbs! Puff, I'm not even a pimple on your ass. I hope in 30 years you're looking for some more.

    Be well.

Hey Randall, you're never going to cellar much if you keep sending me tobacco to give away! But don't worry, I can keep you in Margate for a long, long time.

I'm lucky my wife doesn't give me grief....not in a serious way at least. She teases me though and says I'm gonna wind up on that "hoarders tv show" one day. She has also seen cellars that make mine look real small (that didn't sound right, did it?). I do catch hell once in awhile from my fellow pipe smokers though. Especially on hard to get tins like SG stuff. Last year I did my part to help wipe out the supply of SG tins that smokingpipes.com got in.

My next TAD order planned will be for VA and english blends...no aromatics.

Sounds great, jpberg. I'll make you with your Margate my plan B.

    Be well.
