...and realized I didn't bring any tobacco with me. I have three pipes in my backpack right now and I can't smoke! Don't you have it when this happens?

I thought university would make me smart but the stress of getting to school on time has made me too dumb to remember to bring any tobacco. I don't know why I even came to school if I can't smoke my pipe? :msty:

Get a pouch or use an empty tin and fill it with tobacco, for the sole purpose of keeping it in your backpack. :puffy:

Hate when that happens. Looks like a trip to the grocery store for some Carter Hall or SWR for you then.

Yep, good, easy to find, and relatively inexpensive! :puffy:

No. The college experience for most people helps them realize they will never learn all there is to know. It certainly taught me humility.:old:

A college degree proves three things to a potential employer:
    1. You have the drive and determination to complete something that can be daunting.
    2. You do have at least average intelligence.
    3. You have learned some basic skills that will help you in your profession.

Don't get me wrong - I'm a big believer in education (I'm on staff at a university) - I just don't believe it will improve your memory or give you better judgement.

That's what I do. Got an old ABF tin full of Angler's Dream I keep in my work bag.

Yeah I normally have one but I took it out on Friday and forgot to put it back in for the next week. I really needed to study that Friday and did not want to get tempted to smoke that day. It didn't work since I was distracted by not having a pipe.

You've got to keep an emergency smoking kit in your backpack: a soft pencil case containing an inexpensive but servicable pipe, a disposable lighter, pipe nail, a couple of pipe cleaners, and an unopened pouch of SWR (or other OTC tobacco).

That's totally lame! I hate when things like that happen! I've done it myself. I'll go hiking or something pack all what I want for the trip, get to the top of the mountain, pipe, check, tamper, check, matches, check, bacca, bacca, NNOOOOO!!! Lame.

Resist the temptation to jump off the mountain. This is good advice.
