I have a few UniqueBriar pipes and I contacted him to make me a pipe.
I have never done this before and was ready to spend big. I got a heck of a deal!
I asked for a "cherrywood poker" This is what he came up with!

    I can't wait!

My experiences with UniqueBriars pipes summed up would be reliable. I always get a good smoke and they are sturdy little things.
I am looking at "yet another one" on evilbay..

He's the poker-master, isn't he? How big is that one - some of the ones on eBay look like they're 3" across.

I just got word this evening that it's shipped!
Pokers seem either hard to find or to cost more then I would like to spend.
I am still a pipe noob so I am not knowledgeable when it comes to most well known pipe makers.
I feel like I got very lucky.
I would also like to try for a Joe Case at some point down the road. I like his mad hatter very much.

Nice pipe! Haven't had a commissioned one myself yet, but I think a poker is the route I will go too when I try and make that happen

well it's on the way! This all started after my Macqueen pipe showed uo nearly a year late!
I am having trouble enjoying it now. I didn't know exactly what I was ordering..that is it was to be my first pipe.
So I ordered ash wood, which isn't as nice as I would like.Tastes funny to me but I will work through that in time. the stem seems a little split at the tip. Needless to say I will have to be easy with it.

So I asked if UniqueBriar could do a church warden. (He still needs some reliable equipment to make bent pipes) So we kicked some stuff around and I just let it ride. I do like poker pipes! and Katrina pointed out the "cherrywood" style. I wanted or want any pipe I get from him to live up to its name and be Unique

did I mention I am excited!.
