I seem to remember Nesta saying he's smoked it before.

Smoke it! When it's all gone, buy a tin of C&D Rajah's Court.

I almost forgot that Orlik ever blended Durbar. I think they had to discontinue some of the classic mixtures because of the shortage of Syrian Latakia.

That was a good price for it. I have smoked both Murrays & Orlick both are good no doubt. C&D Rajah's Court( as I stated in my post above) is very very close to the Orlick version. The longer you age it though, the more the taste will change as Latakias presence weaken with age. Could be a good thing for you though:msty:

It's good that you try it, it's a nice oriental. I wouldn't wait too long to smoke it, no more than a couple of years.

I've smoked it but it's been eons. I recall that it was well worth the time. You got a pretty good deal! :th1:

When did Orlik take over the blending for Dunhill?

yea, I may have been responsible for jacking up the cost on two of those tins. After I figured out I wasn't going to get one for the price I was willing to spend, I just backed off and quit bidding someone up.

The Orlik question better suited for one of these guys.....I'm still getting familiar with the Murray era. Thanks for shilling the value of my tin!:D

    WJ,
Great blend! I still have most of a tin left.
If it were a tad sweeter, it'd win out over
RRR as my favourite Oriental blend.

Late 2004. However, it took a couple of years after that to distribute all of the already blended and tinned tobacco acquired from Murray's.

Nice. C&D's Rajah's Court is my favorite blend, try both and let us know how they compare.
