Yes, this is one of the better aromatics. See my review on tobaccoreviews.com. I love to mix it with latakia blends, it makes for a great smoke.

Hi SI, please share more info... which blends do you mix it with, and what's the proportion. Do you mash them together or parfait them in?TIA!

I pretty much mix it with any Latakia that I deam too strong in the Lat or just does not grab me and I mix it 50/50. It tastes like toasted marshmellows and while you get to enjoy the Lat, everybody else smells the vanilla.

Earl, have you tried Shortcut to Mushrooms yet? Your recipe sounds like it may be close. 'Course, I've only three or four bowls memory of it.

Yes, it's a very good blend from JFH. But is is easier to mix my own and a good way to utilize heavy Lat blends that I get from trades and such that I won't smoke. I like Lat but more as a seasoning than a main player.

I have almost a pound of BCA to trade for similar mild aromatics.

Are these two the same? The local drug store sells 2 or 3 versions of the SP.

The local drug store Sp's are different i have 2 kinds of them, they have the straight black cavendish, then they have a golden vanilla Cavendish, and the there is the cherry cavendish which i have yet to try cause i dont like cherry tobacco.

The Lane version has a lot less goop and PG to deal with, it smokes dry.

I dig the Lanes BCA, Very good stuff.
I tried the tinderbox midnight, and kept hearing that its the same as BCA.
I couldn't tell too much difference at all ;)
Never had a bad experience, and its been pretty mellow, mild and very vanilla, which I like.
I might have to try that with some Lat. Sounds yummy.

Tried BCA for the first time yesterday and loved it. I definitely see more of that blend in my future.

    I'll second that -
SP had to dry out for a couple of DAYS (in jar with lid off) before I could get it to be smokable.
