And Ugly women
not true. Because sometimes...you just have to...you know...
No, no I don't..
No matter how drunk I have become in the past, my vision and memory always remained intact.
Was one of the things that drove me crazy, the very few times I have sat and talked to tipsy women in the long ago past
I chalk it up to life experiences.
Let's just say, unfurtunately, I'm very experienced
I refuse to participate in this conversation, as my self control issues will just make me look bad, and will bring up memories that I would prefer to keep buried.
Let's just say I am a retired mariner, and mariners like to drink. Nough said.
Well I went and counted them and with the 2 coming it makes 75 briars, 5 Morta, 6 Meerschaums, a porcelain, 8 cobs and 1 rock cob .......
I'm a piker, I have 7, including a Sasieni 4Dot, and a Ben Wade Calabash, they are my "top end" pipes, at least by my low standards. They are all good smoking pipes though, but as with most everything, I could use a few more. This is a fine hobby we share here, almost endless variety in pipes, and tobacco, really makes you wonder why people smoke anything else!
Heck I gave away like 30 something years ago when I quit smoking altogether, one was a one dot Sasieni, an 8 dot, Ben Wade, Ascorti's, Charatan's, Barling, others I can't remember, a few basket pipes and 4 Meerschaums.
I see the problem, but the solution was a bit hasty...
Ah, the old "Beer Goggles", thank goodness I married a pretty girl, and have not strapped them on in many years!
I picked up a pouch of SWR to revisit yesterday, have not smoked that in years either, I'm sure it will be just fine though.
An oft asked question "How many pipes are enough" is generally best answered with a reply of "One more."
fishnbanjo is this mindset in action!
Not really, I realized I got carried away with the Danish Group so I stopped and focused on certain shapes with the right bowl size for me by certain makers, I traded away a pile to obtain those pipes. The Italian Group is where I want it to be as is the Dunhill Group. There are 2 more additions to be made to the Morta's, one is a commission in the works and the last I can't talk about as I have discussing this with someone who offers a line of pipes that has not had one made in Morta but will be working with the maker who makes his pipes to that outcome. The Bamboo Shanks have now filled their rack but there is an odd spot there that might end up being filled. Other than an odd one may grab my attention this is where I'm at.
Just one more.....
Some TAD for a change!
I have a doozy of a purchase in the works. Will post when it all arrives = )
I am trying to make up for the years i haven't been smoking a pipe to catch up.
OK, yer forgiven, but just this one time.
A short shank Barbi brandy. I'm still astounded that I got it at the price I did on eBay! Happy, happy, happy!
