You are a wildman.
oops wrong thread
50gms Sam Gawith Squaddy, 50gms Sam G. FVF, and two 'Honest' Pipe lighters, ordered today from 'My Smoking Shop', hopefully to arrive tomorrow. "Why two lighters?", I hear you cry. The reason is that I wasn't sure the first order, for the baccy and one of them, had gone through, because the computer was playing silly-buggers and no acknowledging email from MSS had arrived, so I tried again with the lighter alone, but it transpires that both orders went through. Oh well - the lighters are only £10 each, and there's something to be said for having a spare.
My B&M had a pouch of it, just like any other OTC. I've yet to see a toby designed for cigarettes alone that comes in this packaging. Beyond that, I have no idea-just being honest with you. I tried it as RYO first, and then a pipe. MUCH better in a pipe.
1 Limited Edition Mac Baren HH Vintage Syrian ceramic canister (#262/1500) containing 1 pound of Vintage Syrian
1 8oz. tin of GLP Quiet Nights
2 50g tins of Erinmore Flake
1 50g tin of Peterson's Perfect Plug (3P's)
I don't know why American Spirit don't jump in and offer a different style of cut leaf and call it pipe tobacco
seams as though they are missing out on some sales due to taxes being higher for cigarette versus pipe cut
The tobacco they have is much better in a pipestone pipe rather than rolling it up in paper anyway.
None of my local stores offer the pouch tobacco - just the pre-rolled cigarettes
guess i will have to drive into city to get some of the new blend
Im curious to hear what you think of the Vintage Syrian
It's good stuff, I already had a couple tins of it, one of MB better blends IMO.
My B&M only had one pouch and no packs of perique; I was actually after the cigarettes, it's hard to smoke a pipe under a vehicle and I've got a lot of work to do on mine. I can't stand mainstream toxic chemical dipped coffin nails, the pesticide/additive free part really got me interested. That, and I read about perique in the toby growers section... which I intend to become a part of once I figure out the right field to plant. The nearest one floods in the spring. I definitely am not disappointed and feel the $7.42 spent on that pouch was worth it, by far!
Oops! I carelessly quoted myself instead of editing above. Sorry!
I'll join in here with a Medico Dinky I picked up today at my not so local b&m..
already christened it this arvo' and not bad at all for what my experience extends to, was looking for a smaller bowl size and this fits nicely.
will have to get somewhere to put my pics then I can throw some up of both pipes.
Just got in
500g SG 1792 Flake
500g SG Navy Flake
6 tins Mac Baren Old Dark Fired
Pouch of Five Brothers
2 oz GH Louisiana Perique Flake
2 tins Solani Aged Burley Flake
1 tin Mac Baren Dark Twist Roll Cake
1 2oz tin of Black House
2 MM Generals one straight, one bent
Gonna be a nice weekend.
I bought the same 1 lb crock, and think it is one of the best lat blends out there. SG Skiff Mixture may be the only one I like better.
I just bought a 12 pipe wrack from Cup O' Joe's
1 lb of Mac Baren Mixture Flake, 3 cork knockers, 80 bristled & tapered pipe cleaners from SmokingPipes
1 lb of Blend 00 & 2 oz of Burley Perfection Plug from Uhle's
I would have ordered a pound of Briar Fox, but C&D is closed on Saturday.
I visited a local B&M shop today that I haven't patronized in over a decade. I needed a Czech tool and I knew they would probably have one. I got my Czech tool and spotted about a dozen tins of the elusive weed. They were dusty and looked like they had been sitting there for a long time. I guess nobody in this city of 112,000 people is interested in the stuff.
I've never tried it so I snatched up a tin:
Finally got my hands on some CH, and I def think it will be one I smoke regularly.
Picked up this new Peterson Poker yesterday. It has "Kapet" stamped on the bottom...?
Kapet is a series name.
Search this page for Kapet
Mom scored me a pipe stand at the Goodwill for a buck.
It's cool. Might have been someone's woodshop project in highschool 40 years ago. I love it.
