I'm fresh out of English Luxus, Bear Blend and almost out of A.M. Pipe. My only lat blend right now is Shortcut to Mushrooms, so I decided to finally check out my B&M's house blend "Grandpa's Blend," which I'd heard a lot about both from friends and the salesmen. I know it's a real house blend because they mix it before your eyes from the different base tobaccos. It resembles STM in a lot of ways (cavendish and virginia mixed in, vanilla top notes) but seems to have a bit more oomph in the flavor department. I bought 2oz for 9$ and I'll be back for more, I'm sure. While I was there, I also decided to buy my first tin of flake. By all accounts I picked a good one. :)

Another tin of SG Black XX Finest Kendal Twist.

Sadly, my this is the only rope my B&M has...

    Edit: not rope, twist

The lovely missus as of Friday will no longer work 5 mins from a B&M I've started using and she offered to do 1 last after work pickup for me.
Cooked dinner etc while she does reports, it's the least I can do

    *edit*
I tried the 1792 flake in the dinky for a quick try out, I'm impressed and next purchase won't be a sample. It smoked so much cooler than the mixtures I've been smoking is this usual for all flakes? I'm going to be looking into a lot more flakes now that's for sure.

This just received from an eBay auction. An unsmoked Dr. Grabow Belvedere wire carved 37, I think it's a 37 anyway...My research says it's probably from the mid to late 50's. Picture does not do it justice, it's a very beautiful pipe.

    Latest pipe smoking purchase...?

    Sadly... none. :(

Though I've been eyeing the eTailers nbg
Editing and updating my PAD list :shead:

Selling old stuff out of the garage, and building a fund :ngty:

I haven't been able to figure out what to snap- a new artisan briar? ...a fat toby order? some Forever stems and a cob or two?

I've got to do something with my stash soon. My wife found out how much is in it, and has been making endless suggestions for spending it! :fpalm:

No kidding. Seems like they just opened like 6 months ago. There used to be a cigar shop in the mall one block west of there where my work is but they closed up after the golden Valley smoking ban. Bummer.

I got it yesterday. I don't think I've ever purchased two Radices (other than a matched pair) that were presented the same way.
This one was sold through RD Field originally, and came in a pipe sock embossed both "RD Field" and "Radice". It's calfskin, and about as thick as a baseball glove.
I took out some more cake, ran some booze through it, and will test it out over the weekend.

It's a beauty. I almost bought it on impulse the first time I saw it, but I said to myself: wait a few weeks and if it's still there, make an offer, if it's gone, it wasn't meant to be. Well, it was still there with 2 days left in the Buy It Now, so I made a Best Offer and here it is :D
