I've tried them all...three favorites, in order, are:

Shortcut to Mushrooms (Lat & mushrooms?!? I'm not sure *what's* in this one, but it's good)
    Old Toby ( great Va/Bur/Per...delightful)
Ruins of Isengard (Va/Bur/Lat/Cav...sweet and spicy)

Your Longbottom Leaf and Treebeard are good aromatic blends, just not to my taste.
For a aromatic smoker, I would however, recommend both.

I have them all on order and they should be here today. The STM is off the hook, along with Ruins Of Isengard and Old Toby. My favorite is probably Whiskey Biscuit Gravy which is just the normal kind of thing for us hillbillies.:)

I agree, it has become one of my favorites to smoke everyday. Sometimes I just can't get enough of it!:thu2:

I have purchased the sampler but have yet to try the other blends. Ruins of Isengard smells intriguing though.

I've tried the Shortcut and Ruins and enjoyed them both i'm not sure if it's normal or not but they seemed to take forever to dry out before smoking. Maybe i was just in a hurry to try them?

This is cool, 'cause I've been wondering where to get my hands on these flavors! Now I know so as soon as I have some cash I'll place me an order! ;)

The Middle Earth Series are a collection of house blends made from common bulks that were created by Bob Schafer, a former tobacconist who worked for the original owners of Just For Him. He has since moved on to teach at a university in Texas. The blends are still solid at Just For Him, but are available only in bulk.

i guess that means it comes in a bag, im new to the hobby but thats cool i got some mason jars and some nice tea cans , now i can only assume this but i would be willing to bet money that people in middle earth would of had flakes and not choped up tobacco :) it would be more impressive if these series came in flakes hehe

You know, I feel kinda guilty that I live about 75 miles away from JFH, and I've never stopped in, or smoked any of their blends.
I may have to take a drive down and pick up a few...

You're not missing much. It's not the shop that it once was. The local anti-smoking ordinance combined with a new owner who is very cigar oriented changed all that. I live in the same city and I don't even bother to stop in unless I need to pick up some pipe cleaners.
