    Hi All,

    The guy absolutely has to be joking. I love history, I love old things but that is totally silly.

    Being absolutely honest Capstan wasn't that bad a tobacco ( though their cigarettes were much better! ) and you can still pick it up cheaply on the Spanish Islands, but even at today's Brit prices of £10. for two ounces it's overpriced!

    A good Brit friend of mine sent me some Capstan Cut Plug last year....I hope to hell he didn't pat THAT much for it! :lol:

    I can't believe this guy actually thinks anyone would pay that much for pipe tobacco. hmm perhaps a few loose marbles :lol:

    He is probably basing the majority of the asking price on the provenance of that letter. Still, it's a ridiculous amount.

    Hell, I'm a generous soul. I might just make him an offer....$25.00 sounds about right. Wonder what Pipestud would think of this......
