I hope everyone had a great time during the holidays. I wish you all a very happy new year.

Here's what I got for myself:

I got both from tobacconists in Nicosia, Cyprus. The falcon was 53 USD (I think this is as cheap as you can find on ebay). The commodore was about 18 USD. Not the prettiest pipe but I like the wide bit.

The standard falcon bowl doesn't compare to the hunter bowl, but it was quite cheap.

It was quite hard to find pipes without filters in Cyprus. The people there smoke using a 9mm filter. I prefer to have the airway as clear as possible. I got some "adaptors" to try on my filter pipes.

The stems have heat shrink tubing on them.

I might be mistaken, but I have the impression that the falcon "allows" more nicotine to reach me. Tobaccos seem to be a bit heavier through it. I might be wrong though. Anyone else notice this?

    Take care,
    Andreas

Gerry (falconeer) is the leader. I understand he is not around this forum as much anymore but he is still the leader.

I recently bought a Falcon while waiting on some briars I ordered from England to arrive and I like it okay but enjoy my new briars a lot more.

    Nice pipes!

I've not personally noticed a Falcon to 'deliver' extra nicotine...except when I put Irish Flake in it, that is.

Falcons don't usually appeal to me too much, but that one... Sweet!

Love the Falcon pipes, they are a work horse of a pipe. My fly fishing and outdoor pipe and they smoke great and are almost indestructable :)
