Well, with the help of all the great postings here on pipe restoration, I've spent the last week, restoring the great, old Sasieni pipe, my father gave to me several years ago. There is a small gap between the original bit, and the stem. But, other then that, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. Not professional quality restoration, mind you....but not bad.

Thanks Zfog, I started to notice the fine birdseye grain as I was restoring it.

Looks good! unless your in the UK, don't mind the gap! Great work! I worked on some of my father pipes, and, some of the dings and scratches I couldn't get out, but, they remind me of him when I look at them. Nice job! -David

Very nice indeed. Now, what are you going to smoke in it?

Thanks guy's, I really appreciate the nice comments. It was my fathers pipe, so it means a lot to me. So far I've just smoked a couple of bowls of Stokebye's Deluxe Twist Flake in it. But I restored her for smokin', not viewin'...LOL
